However, your IRC rating does not need to be turned in until June 23, so just submit that once you get it. The rule can be found at: http://www.ussailing.org/offshore/irc/ Whether you want to sharpen or expand your current sailing skills for those North Channel cruises, test your boat and crew work against the competition, or simply need an excuse to get out sailing more regularly - racing is the perfect opportunity. This activity can be as intense or as relaxing as you care to make it, and you'll have front row seats as the Bay area boats put on their weekend show. We host social events after every race; these run the gamut from a dinner & awards presentation at a selected tavern to a cookout and late-night bonfire. This is a great way to meet your fellow racers, share stories and tips, and improve both the caliber and frequency of Saginaw Bay sailing - not to mention having a whole lot more fun in the process. If you have any questions, concerns, comments, or other inquiries about the flavor of the SBYRA organization or its events, don't hesitite to contact us. You may use the SBYRA logo link in the far upper-left corner of your screen to send an email, or navigate to our "Contacts" page and speak to any of our board members. Check out the "Schedule" and race "Courses". We offer a variety of courses including Windward Leeward, Olympic and Distance. You can race in as few as one, or as many as the whole Season Series.
